History seems to be one of injustice.
Continued and repeated. Injustice.
Once it was being a baby boy. Moses.
Then it was being a Christian facing stones by those like Saul. Who became Paul.
Next it was being a Jew under Hitler’s rule.
For centuries it was the color of your skin.
A dark “animal” inferior to “pure” pale skin.
There was a time when it was your nationality. Ethnicity.
Squinty eyes? You MUST be Japanese.
For ages it was having a vagina and breasts. “You that wear skirts are not as smart and are inferior.”
Most recently….it is loving someone who is the most like you.
Woman and woman. Man with man.
“Next thing you know, they will be sleepin with animals,” they say.
The list could continue…
When does IT stop?
To make matters worse, the group that has done the most persecuting is Christians.
Or should I say, “christians”
Where did the Golden Rule get misplaced.
Love thy neighbor…..
Thy gay.
Thy African American.
Thy woman.
Thy psycho-path.
Thy transgendered.
Thy Jew.
Thy Japanese.
Thy man.
Thy mixed-ethnic.
Thy lesbian.
Thy little person.
Thy bi-polar.
Thy European American.
Thy short.
Thy “slow.”
Thy dirty.
Thy ugly.
Thy tall.
Thy new.
Thy Muslim.
Thy smart.
Thy handicap.
Thy Haitian.
Thy old.
Thy poor.
Thy mom.
Thy rich.
Thy pedophile.
Thy anorexic.
Thy nerds.
Thy…..HUMAN BEINGS.
Love that one.
And this one.
And her. Him.
Love them ALL just like YOU LOVE YOURSELF.

We say we are Christians. Christ-followers.
Do I……Do YOU love?
Love ALL OF THEM?

AFFECTIONATE CONCERN FOR THE WELL-BEING OF OTHERS.
Injustice has persisted because there is not enough true love.
Will YOU let it repeat itself?

WE ARE INSANE.
We will continue to be insane until we choose to love.
Until you and I choose to be who we say we are…do what HE originally asked us to over 2000 years ago….and love.
Put away your judgement.
Throw away all the stereotypes.
